Water Quality Advisory Update

RWD continues to monitor the manganese levels through water testing every day; testing shows that the levels of manganese in the water have remained below the Health Canada guideline levels for over a month.

However, given that the weather forecast for this week is predicting higher than normal temperatures, resulting in higher demand for water.

Rutland Waterworks operators will continue to:

• Make adjustments to limit the usage of the wells with Mn concentration that approach or exceed the Health Canada MAC.
• Monitor Mn levels while the wells with high Mn concentration are in use.

The monitoring information will be reviewed with Interior Health next week for consideration.
