Emergency Water Shutoff at Rutland Rd N

The water main at Rutland Rd N between Highway 33 and Mugford Rd is scheduled to be shut down on Wednesday, April 30th at 5:30 p.m. for approximately 6 hours. The shutdown is required to facilitate new construction, maintenance, or alterations to the system.

Below are some helpful tips to reduce the inconvenience during the water shutdown:

• Ensure that you have plenty of potable water.
• Fill bathtubs and sinks with water prior to the outage. To use your flush toilet during the outage, bucket water into the top chamber of the toilet after each use.
• If you live in the surrounding neighbourhoods, you may experience little to no water, low water pressure, and/or discouloration. If you experience discouloration, run your taps on cold water for 10 minutes or until clear. Avoid using hot water until the minerals have passed through. 

The water main is expected to be back on around 3:00 pm.
