STAGE 2 RESTRICTIONS NOW IN EFFECT

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: Rutland Waterworks District (RWD) is moving to Stage 2 Water Restrictions. Due to continued drought conditions, declining aquifer levels, and extreme seasonal demand across Kelowna, outdoor watering is now strictly reduced to two designated days per week.

New Watering Schedule
Properties may only use outdoor sprinklers or irrigation systems on two assigned days per week:

Odd-Numbered Addresses: Tuesday and Saturday only.

Even-Numbered Addresses: Wednesday and Sunday only.

Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays: Outdoor watering is strictly prohibited for all properties.

Permitted Watering Hours
Watering is strictly limited to the following times on your designated days:

Automatic Underground Irrigation: Midnight (12:00 AM) to 6:00 AM. Running systems between 6:00 AM and midnight is prohibited.

Manual Sprinklers: 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM OR 7:00 PM to midnight (12:00 AM). Running manual sprinklers between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM is prohibited.

Hand Watering: Watering plants by hand using a hose fitted with a spring-loaded automatic shut-off nozzle or a watering can is permitted at any time, but must be kept to a minimum.

Additional Restrictions & Prohibitions

Outdoor Surface Washing: Washing down driveways, sidewalks, patios, decks, or any other impermeable surfaces is strictly prohibited.

Vehicle Washing: Only permitted using a hand-held bucket or a hose with a spring-loaded shut-off nozzle.

Pools & Decorative Features: Filling pools or decorative fountains completely is prohibited; minimal topping up to protect equipment is allowed.

The Rutland Waterworks District Water Patrollers are actively monitoring the neighborhood. Under 
RWD bylaws, restriction infractions can result in your water service being turned off and a $100.00 
turn-on fee issued to the property owner.
